Job Title: Ad Hoc HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E)

Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our friendly team on an ad hoc basis. Work will include a mixture of event transport and general haulage, supporting our operations as and when required. This role is ideal for drivers looking for flexible, casual work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out deliveries and collections safely and efficiently

  • Transport equipment and goods for events and general haulage jobs

  • Ensure loads are secured correctly and transported in line with regulations

  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects

  • Complete delivery paperwork and records accurately

  • Comply with all UK driving hours, tachograph, and road safety regulations

  • Represent the company professionally when dealing with clients and site staff

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence

  • Maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence (no major endorsements)

  • Valid Driver CPC qualification

  • Digital Tachograph Card

  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK

  • Good understanding of UK driving hours and transport regulations

  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with availability

  • Good attitude and sense of humour

  • Well presented and approachable

  • Maintain a clean and tidy truck
